What are you onto Richie? Fallow, Rusa or Reds?

    I hear/see the Rusa roaring around May/June.
I have not seen enough Fallow to see map their mating habits yet

I think any fallow you've seen in the SW would have escaped from a commercial deer park.

There are a few Rusa hanging about in National Parks, but you're not allowed to shoot them on government land.

The occasional one or two will wander onto private land, but the land owner is under obligation from the agricultural department to either kill them or report them.

All in all it's pretty slim pickings unless you're in with a deer association - and they all tend to be rifle hunters.

We've had two on the property I hunt down south and consider ourselves very lucky.

Good stuff Richie, hope you get into them, recurve 5 pretty well summed it up though, they are hard for most to get access to so make the most of it.
