That is one sweet looking knife. I'd be real happy to win that.

    I like that idea Rhino!
Sitting back from your trophy to make it appear bigger only makes you look smaller!

Ok if no one objects, might do a drop point hunter.
Unfortunately I have no spare tiger stripe gidgee like in the pic. (allocated to jobs).
I have antler, tonnes of the sh*t. Red or rusa, the rusa is quite neat with lots of spines n warts on it, no real contrast in colour. Red has lots of contrast but very smooth. Scales or antler tip.

    Aus timber:
Coolabah burl, nice, 3 colour tones. Tight patterns.
Blue gum, lots of big eyes and swirls. Neat
    Hairy oak.
Birds eye red gum, is nice but eyes are a bit patchy.
Blackbutt burl. Nice, but I have to fill and stabilize it.
Mackay cedar, white/red. Has a flame pattern through it.
    Gidgee with lengthways pattern.
Ancient red gum. Has been carbon dated by Aus Timbers as 5000 years old. Black.
Yellow box, very old and dense has some flecks through it. Honey colour.

Also have around 30 jewelry grade ivory teeth which could be inlaid.

Not doing micarta or G10 anymore, we have some of the hardest most beautiful knife handle materials growing right here.

Coolabah burl or MacKay cedar sounds the go to me. The 5000 year old red gum would be nice, but then I'd feel like its more a decorative piece than an everyday tool. Just my thoughts though.

If that Gidgee is the stuff that I gave you mate, that would be cool! Was that any good?

I love a drop point hunter style knife too!
