    Old recurve bow

2012-10-10_11-39-37_605.jpgA few years back an old friend gave me his recurve bow he had for years, i havent been able to find out anything on them, where they were made etc, its a 58" take down recurve 55#, with "hunter surpreme WT 3000" written on the bottom limb, would be great if any one could shed some light on any information about these bows.

Hi mate , it looks a lot like a samick or an internature recurve , probabably an internature ( korean ) , i have an internature " hunter" and the limb pockets look the same , samick also had recurves with those limb pockets also .

definately wouldnt be 70 years old , my guess would be around 2005 -2007 , if it was bought in the states it might have been branded as an AIM which i think was just and internature rebadged , not up on all the samick models , but owing to the shape of the riser against my internature riser it probably is a samick .
Doing a bit of a google search on it , it is intresting that nothing is coming up under that name.
youd think there would have to be at least one reference to it somewhere along the line , someone doing a review on one or one for sale etc.

yeah he gave it to me about 9yrs ago, and said he had had it since he was only young and he passed away not long after he gave it to me and was around 80 - 85 yrs old when he passed, it came with american hickory arrows all with the early davies brodheads. The fact i couldnt find any info on it has me curious as to what bow it is, as you said about finding nothing on it at all.

I don't think they made takedown recurves using limb bolt connections that long ago,I think around the early seventies they started .There is a logo on the bottom limb I can see in one of your pics, show us a pic of it,it might help to identify the bow.

yeah i get what you mean, i broke the limb tip and wanted a new set of limbs but due to lack of information i had no idea where to start, the wood feels heavy on the bow and the craftmanship is really good, Matt ill chuck the picture up for you to have a look at, thanks lads2012-10-11_07-53-17_228.jpg
